News: 2017-08-05: v201 Released! We have released v201/v202 of FaceTrackNoIR and are in the process of updating the website. 2016-11-05: Update game-list.

With this fix you don't have to use vjoy - it now works with the Freetrack protocol. I had a lot of problems with vjoy - sometimes the game doesn't recognise it at all and won't map it, and even if it does the pitch up angle is very limited. Not to mention the look mode sometimes switching off. Freetrack protocol just works. You can also use opentrack, which already worked, but the face tracking isn't as good as facetracknoir's yet. Gibonnici - make sure FaceTrackNoIR has loaded and you've started tracking before you load the game, otherwise it doesn't seem to pick up (after installing the linked fixed csv file).

Great - now could someone tell me how to set this up?Not sure how much detail you need, but here are the exact steps I took: 1) Install FaceTrackNoIR 2) Download 'FaceTrackNoIR Supported Games.csv' from link in, and place the file in the 'Settings' folder at wherever FaceTrackNoIR is installed, over-writing the original. 3) Run FaceTrackNoIR.

Make sure that under the 'Game Protocol' setting, 'FreeTrack 2.0' is selected. Might be very helpful to tick the 'Invert Pitch' box just above that setting at this point, and maybe choose a key for the 'Center' function in 'Shortkeys'.

(Preferably one that you're not using for anything else.) 4) Click the 'Start' button in the 'Go!' Section, make sure that your camera is pointed at your face and the tracking is working decently. (Pay attention to the graphic in the top left.) 5) Run Elite as normal, and witness the magic.Edit.

Looks like you pipped me to it anyway. I don't know if non-Alpha backers can view them now the forum is closed, so I will quote here. I have it working in a usable way.

So ive done everything here and still cant get this thing to work. My issue is im not using a conventional webcam. I am using my tablet camera through the usb direct connected to the PC using a program called DroidCam. Skype recognizes the camera and uses it. But theres a catch, it will only run off the mini version that Droidcam Provides. Theres 'DroidCam source 3' then 'DroidCam Source Mini' i cant get the FacetracknoIR to lockon to the Mini source. Any solutions to this do you think?

Edit: seems that the problem is linked to the FaceAPI. As ive tried to get the demo to work but it crashes on startup when attempting to recognize WDM cameras. Not sure what to do.
